Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a state of keen awareness. The subject is wide-awake and aware of everything around them.

For those of you who have not experienced Hypnotherapy, it’s nothing like stage hypnosis (in other words, you won’t leave the session quacking like a duck). It’s more like a focused dream in which your logical mind is switched off for a while, allowing your subconscious (the really powerful part) to make real and lasting changes to the way you live.

Clinical Hypnotherapy is a form of Psychotherapy that is used to create subconscious change in a person in the form of new responses, thoughts, attitudes, behaviours and feelings.

Hypnotherapy is used worldwide to treat many issues, here are a few examples:

  • Phobias, fears, and anxiety.

  • Sleep disorders.

  • Depression.

  • Stress.

  • Post-trauma anxiety.

  • Weight Loss

  • Quitting Smoking

  • Grief and loss.

The largest misconception about hypnosis is that it is sleep. This could not be further from the truth. If you are asleep - you are unconscious. If you are unconscious - you cannot hear anything. If you cannot hear anything, then the Hypnotist cannot help you.

Each Hypnotherapist manages their own practice. To enquire about a service, please contact the therapist directly. Thank you.

HOW MANY HYPNOTHERAPY SESSIONS?

This is a common question and the answer is it’s impossible to forecast an exact time-frame. It all depends on what changes you are looking to make. Hypnosis for insomnia can often be successfully addressed in as few as 3 sessions. Hypnotherapy for weight loss will take longer, not least because that is the only way to do loss weight healthily according to BMA guidelines. On average I will see my clients around 3-5 times.

CAN I BOOK A FREE CONSULTATION?

All therapies work best when there is trust and respect between both client and therapist, so having a free initial consultation to discuss how hypnotherapy can help you, helps us both to start this process.

Hypnotherapist & Life Coach

BSC, DIPHYP, GHQP

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques combined with Hypnosis, Mindfulness and Relaxation. I suggest that on an initial basis 4 sessions would give a very good idea as to whether the therapy sessions together are being successful.

I offer a free consultation call which can be done over the phone or as a video call. During this call you can discuss your life, the issue at has brought you to Hypnotherapy and, most importantly, see if I am the right therapist to help you. You are never tied into any contract or obligation and you're welcome to have sessions spaced out to suit your issue as well as your financial situation.

As you become more self-sufficient with your issue, appointments tend to get spaced further apart until you feel you have things under control. If you have any questions at all, then feel free to get in touch with me directly.
