Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is considered to have powerful healing properties and has been used since ancient times. Holistic massage concentrates on the whole being, helping to counteract the effects of modern day stress by releasing physical and emotional tension to promote relaxation and well being. It may be used to gain relief from many conditions such as anxiety and insomnia, muscular aches and pains, arthritis, headaches and digestive disorders. It helps ease tired overused muscles, to regain flexibility and mobility.

Sports and Remedial Massage

Sports massage is used for the treatment of muscular strain and injury, and for injury prevention. Remedial and Sports massage is suitable for everyone who is involved with repetitive activities such as gardeners, dancers, musicians as well as sports people who may be experiencing muscular tension or soft tissue damage. It is now recognised as an important factor in today’s healthcare.

Indian Head Massage

This treatment involves massage through clothing to the upper back, neck, scalp and face. Indian Head Massage can improve concentration, elevate the mood , encouraging the body to rest and relax. It reduces stress and anxiety, and promotes restful sleep.

Reflexology

What is Reflexology and how can it help me?

Reflexology is based on the theory that certain reflex points on the feet correspond with various organs and structure of the body.

By applying pressure to the feet using thumb, finger or hand to specific reflex points the Reflexologist therapist can detect subtle changes in the body and by stimulating these points may bring about balance and well-being. Reflexology is a Complementary Therapy and used to support the follow problems:

  • Headaches and Migraines

  • Fatigue

  • Back Pain

  • Circulation

  • Cancer Patients (Cancer Research UK)

  • Pregnancy and Menstruation
